Up to 30 new jobs will be created at ABB in Dundalk this year. The global technology and engineering group is set to transfer operations from a plant in Columbus, Ohio to Dundalk.
The Dundalk factory will assume full manufacturing responsibility for scanner, sensor and profiler products from June 30.
ABB, formerly AccuRay, already employs 70 people in Dundalk in manufacturing, engineering and logistics.
The Co Louth plant is owned by ABB Group's Irish subsidiary which has an Irish workforce of over 600.
