Anglo Irish Bank is to raise €64m though a share placing with a view to possible private banking acquisitions in continental Europe over the next 18 months.
Anglo said it had placed 15.25 million shares in the marketplace. The shares were up three cent to 4.40 in Dublin just after noon.
