EasyJet in talks to expand fleet

British discount airline EasyJet is in talks with two of the world's biggest plane makers about buying new aircraft for delivery up to 2007.

A statement said EasyJet was discussing the purchase of 75 extra planes with Boeing and Airbus, but this number might change during the negotiations.

The airline currently has a fleet of 27 aircraft and plans to have 48 by May 2004.
