Air France Q2 profits dive

French airline Air France last night reported that net profit in the second quarter to the end of September fell by 46% to 88 million euros from the same period last year.

The company said that over the first half of the year, net profit declined 34% to 283 million euros.

'On the basis of current air traffic trends and the oil price, and provided the economic situation doesn't decline further, the company's objective is for operating profit to break even over the full year,' the company said in a statement.
