Bank of Ireland is to close its branch offices for one half day on a rota basis to undertake intensive training on the euro for its staff. The closures will start from next Tuesday October 23 to Thursday December 6.
Each branch will close for a morning on a rota basis. The training will not take place on the busier days, Monday or Friday, and will be completed before the peak Christmas period. Notices will be displayed in advance in each branch giving the date on which the training will take place.
The training is aimed to familiarise Bank of Ireland staff with the new notes and coins, with the processing of transactions in euro and the impact of the changeover on all aspects of banking.
