Over 400 jobs from two new stores

Penneys today opened its 110th store with a new retail outlet at Blanchardstown, Co Dublin. The new 40,000 square foot store will create 170 permanent and 50 temporary jobs.

The new Blanchardstown outlet is the company's 42nd store in Ireland. Penneys also has 68 stores in Britain.

Penneys/Primark employs over 8,100 through its network of stores in Ireland and the UK.

Superquinn has also opened a £16m supermarket in Castletroy Shopping Centre in Limerick. Over 250 people will be employed at the store.
