Ryan Hotels is to change its name to Gresham Hotel Group and split its 10 hotels into two separate brands.
Its eight four-star hotels in Ireland, Britain, Holland, Belgium and Germany will operate as Gresham Hotels, while its two three-star hotels will trade under the Ryan Hotels name.
The changes are subject to approval at the company's AGM in June.
Ryan says Gresham Hotels will focus on city breaks and the corporate market while Ryan Hotels will cater for families and leisure activities. The company is to spend £5.2m on upgrading its hotels.
