UK clothing chain Arcadia Group, fresh from culling a large number of high street shops, this morning announced further rationalisation as half year earnings swung into profit.
The group, which also operate several stores in Ireland, reported pre-tax profits of £29.1 million, against consensus forecasts of around £20 million and against a loss of £8.6 million last year.
Arcadia, which owns 12 high street brands, also said it would dispose of those it considered non-core, including Warehouse, Principles, Racing Green, Wade Smith and Hawkshead.
