Recruitment group CPL has reported pre-tax profits of 2.7 million euros for the first half of its financial year to the end of December, a 40% increase on the same period in 1999.
Net fee income rose by 65% to 8.2 million euros, while earnings per share were up 43% to 5.7 cents.
Managing director Anne Heraty said growth was achieved right across the group, while CPL had completed the integration of Careers Register, which it acquired last year as part of plans to increase its presence in the accountancy and financial services markets.
She said demand for IT contractors remained strong, particularly on euro and telecommunications projects.
