Shares in exploration company Conroy Diamonds & Gold rose 27% on London's AIM today after it said it had discovered gold in County Armagh.
Conroy said the first two holes of a drilling programme had yielded significant results.
It also said the find provided firm evidence of a larger Armagh-Monaghan gold belt, and pointed to the possibility of a number of economic gold deposits within the area where Conroy holds licences.
