Kenmare Gets Mining Licence For Mozambique Project

Kenmare Resources has signed an agreement with the Mozambican government which formally grants the company the right to mine titanium minerals at its Moma project.

The mineral licence agreement converts Kenmare's existing exploration licence to a mining licence and is an important step towards developing the mine.

The agreement covers an initial period of 25 years and allows for future expansion. A definitive feasibility study is due to be finalised early this year.

Late last month Kenmare was granted Industrial Free Zone status for the project, which gives it favourable tax status.
