Ryanair has announced a new deal with its pilots in Ireland and Britain. The agreement includes a 15% rise in basic pay over five years, and share options worth £100,000 for each of the 220 pilots.
The airline's chief executive Michael O'Leary said the deal would ensure moderate increases in pay and higher productivity payments and would pave the way for continued growth.
Irish pilots threatened strike action in November after accusing Ryanair of trying to increase working hours, but the one-day strike was called off.
