As the run-up to Christmas intensifies, Tesco Ireland has announced that some of its stores will be open through the night on Friday December 22. Customers will be able to shop from 8.30am on Friday morning, right through until 8pm on Saturday night.
In Dublin, the Ballybrack, Artaine, Merrion and Tallaght stores will be open on Friday night, while the Dooradoyle (Limerick), Galway and Navan stores will also facilitate night-owl shoppers.
Brian Farrell, the Artaine branch manager, said the all-night service was introduced to help people who were too busy to shop during normal trading hours.
"The lifestyles we now lead and the enormous preparations that go into Christmas mean than not everyone can find the time to fit everything in. Instead of struggling to find a parking space or sitting in traffic, customers now have the opportunity to shop at a time that suits them. This is the fourth year in we have offered 24 hour shopping and it has been growing in popularity every year," he said.
