The Minister for Finance Charlie McCreevy has indicated that he will deliver tax cuts in next Wednesday's Budget, despite fears over rising inflation.
Mr. McCreevy told RTE News he would also introduce a package of measures to combat inflation. He added that the Government had also given the issue of childcare hard thought over the past months.
Mr. McCreevy's comments follow last night's Budget hint by the Taoiseach, who said that by cutting taxes and stimulating employment, the Coalition was generating the revenues that would fund better services and infrastructure.
