Insurance giant CGNU said today it had, as yet, no idea what the full cost of the recent flood damage in Ireland and Britain would be and had no estimate of its own losses.
The company estimated, however, that its claims from the damage would not exceed £200 million after reinsurance.
Meanwhile, the company also announced today that its third quarter operating profits were up by 4% to almost £1.14 million. This compares to £1.20 for the same period last year.
