We continue our year-long Beethoven celebrations with a wonderful concert by Barry Douglas and the RTVE Symphony Orchestra recording at the Santander International Music Festival.

Tuesday 22nd January 

Sit back and relax this January afternoon to a concert with works by Glinka, Talbot and Tchaikovsky. Guitarist Miloš Karadaglic is the soloist in a new concerto written especially for him by Joby Talbot performed with the BBC Symphony Orchestra under Alexander Vedernikov.

Flautist Ulla Millmann and harpist Zachary Hatcher join the Danish National Symphony Orchestra for Mozart’s glorious Flute and Harp Concerto.

Vasily Petrenko conducts Elgar’s Symphony No.1 and soprano Lise Davidsen joins the Danish National Symphony Orchestra to perform Richard Strauss’ Four Last Songs.

Friday 25th January

Vlad Smishkewych presents a showcase of unabridged musical masterworks, featuring live recordings of Irish and international performers, plus selections from the latest CD releases.

From 3pm - Music and the Mind - Music and Sleep

People everywhere are working on their New Year's resolutions so Liz plus special guests and the RTÉ Concert Orchestra join forces for a special programme as they discuss music and relaxation - that's all from 3pm today in The Full Score, live from Studio 1 in Donnybrook.
