High Road, Low Road is back for a brand-new series packed with more celebrities, stunning destinations, exciting activities, and the ultimate luxury vs. budget showdown.

Returning tonight at 7pm on RTÉ One and RTÉ Player, the show sends a selection of the country's top comedians, musicians, actors, writers, quizmasters and football managers to a variety of dream destinations.

Across eight episodes, our celebrity twosomes set off on two very different holidays. While one enjoys a first-class luxury experience, the other explores the area on a tight budget. But who will have the most fun?

In the first episode, best friends and comedians Neil Delamere and Colin Murphy embrace the charm of Wroclaw, Poland’s third largest city. The pair get to enjoy all the city has to offer - cruising the Oder River, exploring the cutting-edge Hydropolis water center and competing in the city’s famous gnome hunt. And there might even be time for some Polish beer tasting!

As the series continues, mother-daughter duo Mary Black and Róisín O marvel at Norway’s majestic fjords as they savour the best of Bergen’s outdoor adventures, while Dancing with the Stars judge Arthur Gourounlian and celebrity chef Donal Skehan take on Madeira, Portugal, a.k.a "the Hawaii of Europe".

Berlin is the destination for football manager Roddy Collins and comedy writer Paul Howard as they immerse themselves in Germany’s edgy capital city, while actress Clare Dunne and eco-builder Harrison Gardner visit neighbouring Austria’s Wild Kaiser region.

Quizmaster Darragh Ennis and comedian Justine Stafford explore Greek history, pirate ships, bee farms, and tandem bikes in the lively, sun-soaked city of Thessaloniki.

Meanwhile, television and radio presenters Brian Dowling and Laura Fox are off to the Connecticut, USA where they take in New England's natural beauty, Yale’s cultural treasures, and a slice of New Haven’s legendary pizza.

And in the series finale, actors Neilí Conroy and Denise McCormack are whisked to the Maldives, experiencing snorkelling with sharks, kayaking and more, while discovering the stark contrasts of luxury resorts and traditional island life.

But which celebrity will enjoy a lavish budget on the high road and which will travel on the modest low road? Tune in to find out!
