Last week on Getaways, Mairead and Joe lived it up in Viva Las Vegas where they took a romantic gondola ride in a Venitian canal, hopped into a helicopter to see the Grand Canyon and fine dined at the Bellagio.
This week, things are taking a holistic turn as the pair travel north to the land of fire and ice – Iceland.
Mairead takes a dip in the famous Blue Lagoon, a geothermal spa located in a lava field in Grindavík on the Reykjanes Peninsula known for its warm waters and healing powers.
Next, there's a tour of the golden circle and explore the architecture of Reykjavik, they even take to the seas in search of humpback and minke whales.
Additionally, in a short Getaway, Mairead takes a road trip around the Inishowen peninsula in Co. Donegal.
