On October 1, 2024, the Michelin Guide revealed their brand new One, Two and Three Key distinctions for the most outstanding hotels in the UK and Ireland.
While the renowned Michelin Star recognises the most outstanding restaurants in the world, the Michelin Key does the same for outstanding hotels.
Created in April of this year, the award aims to find the crème de la crème of hotels, highlighting those that excel in design, architecture, service and personality.
In total, the 2024 Michelin Guide hotel selection for Britain and Ireland includes 14 'Three Key' hotels, 37 'Two Key' hotels and 72 'One Key' hotels.
Dublin, London, Edinburgh all make their presence known in the first release of Key hotels, but the appeal of the countryside has its own special draw, with stately and historic spots like Ireland's Cashel Palace in Co. Tipperary and Dromoland Castle in Co. Clare making the list.
