The North/South divide has a long and murky history in Dublin, with each generation of Dubliners finding something new to rip each other to pieces over. We like to think that we've reached a more amicable, harmonious relationship, but this list might just stir up some old playful disdain.
Deliveroo has released its break down of the most popular takeaway foods across the North and South of Dublin, stretching from Artane on the northside to Terenure on the southside.
The results offer a searing and surprisingly accurate insight into the communities across the city, but this shouldn't be surprising: few things show where our collective tastes and values are at any given time better than food.
Take Pembroke on the Southside, for instance, where the most popular takeaway is Falafel Burger from The Garden of Vegan, hinting at how many people of certain communities are turning towards plant-based diets.
Some results speak to the location they're ordered in, such as Dundrum, where the Subway Melt from Subway must be the ideal treat after trekking around the shopping centre.
With so much changing in Dublin in recent years, it's reassuring to see that although the restaurants we're ordering from are increasingly sophisticated, many of us are plucking for the old favourites like chicken tenders.
And then there's Smithfield, arguably the trendiest neighbourhood in the city right now, still ordering from Supermacs. It honestly cheers the heart.
