Italian chef Massimo Bottura's Osteria Francescana has been named the best restaurant in the world at this year's 'World's 50 Best Restaurants' ceremony which took place in Bilbao, Spain. Check out the full list here.

Since 2002, the awards have provided food lovers with a listicle of some of the best culinary experiences across the globe.

Thanks to a panel of more than 1,000 culinary experts and a strict voting system, the annual ceremony brings an incredible community of chefs together to celebrate their gastronomic achievements.

Sadly, no Irish restaurants made the cut this year. However, summer is upon us so it's the perfect time to book that holiday!
