Neven's Irish Food Trails: Cork

In his series Neven's Irish Food Trails, Neven Maguire travels across Longford, Limerick, Dublin, Cork, Wicklow,  Wexford, Tipperary and Kilkenny to find Ireland's greatest dishes.

Along the way, he meets some of Ireland's favourite chefs, craftsmen and food producers, not only that but he demonstrates his own mouth-watering recipes whilst on board the Shannon Princess.

Tonight on RTÉ One, Neven follows a food trail inspired by seafood. The Cavan man heads out to sea with the Murphy family of Shellfish De La Mer, Dinish Island, Co Cork to learn about sustainable fishing using the traditional pot-fishing methods to catch crab. Back at the harbour, Neven learns to dress a crab fresh from his haul.

Next, our favourite chef heads to Ballylickey to meet master cutler Rory Conner who specialises in hand-crafted knives and he even gifts Neven with a unique oyster knife.

In tonight's episode, we will find out how to make a delicious Grilled Turbot on the bone with Sea Beet and Dijon Mustard Hollandaise.

Watch Neven's Irish Food Trails on RTÉ One at 8:30 pm every Tuesday.
