2017 marks the ninth year of the Irish Restaurant Awards which took place earlier this year and aims to celebrate the best chefs, restaurants and dining experiences that Ireland has to offer.
The awards, which took place in May highlight how this is an exciting time for Ireland's food scene and this year was no different. If you're thinking of going somewhere nice for New Year's or planning ahead for 2018 - here are some ideas.
Chapter One took home the award for the best restaurant in Ireland, Forest and Macy were named best newcomer while Ireland's only female Michelin star chef, Danni Barry of Deanes Eipic, Antrim earned the title of Ireland's best chef.
