We’ll never let the Irish weather beat us!

The weather took a turn for the worst but lucky for us, we had the fantastic Cobh Heritage Centre come to our rescue! The lads had to uproot the whole set and move indoors and didn’t it look grand? The people of Cobh did us proud when they came out in their 1912 finery to help us make our contestants feel right at home.

Cobh Ladies

New Mentor Eunice Power.

You may recognise Eunice from the TODAY show with Maura & Dáithi and she was only too delighted to come on board to become our new Munster Mentor. We love her enthusiasm, her honesty and her description of the food, which made us wish we’d had smell-a-vision.

He just could not help himself. Take another look at this.

The Language Barrier

Poor Ramona looked a little put out when she thought Eunice said her Enchilada was “dodgy”. It was ‘stodgy’ Ramona! Eunice saw great potential as Ramona ‘sailed’ through to the next round. Will Ramona be crowned Eunice’s Regional Champion? You’ll have to wait and see.

Fog Horn’s don’t care

During filming, you make sure everyone is quiet on the set, especially when you are coming up to decision time! Cue camera – cue tension -  ACTION – FOG HORN???  At least it cut the tension and made Eunice’s job a teensy bit easier.

Congrats to Edgar Kirby & Ramona Ruiz Keohane for making it through to the next round. They’ll meet Eunice and get working on fine-tuning their recipes as Eunice gets ready to decide who will become her regional champion.

Next week we meet reigning champion Mentor Michelin starred restaurateur JP McMahon and his five contestants from the Connaught/ Ulster region who are all hoping they will be crowned The Taste of Success Champion 2016 and walk away with that massive prize worth 100,000 Euros.
