After a stunning inaugural event last autumn, Ireland Fashion Week has continued to spotlight rising Irish talent in fashion and design, this time at the first Ireland Fashion Week Awards.
The awards dinner, which took place this evening at The Dylan Hotel in Ballsbridge, Dublin, celebrated excellence across design, creativity, craft and culture, and highlighted the people driving Ireland's fashion ecosystem forward.
Held from 6-10 October 2025, Ireland Fashion Week welcomed over 2,000 attendees to a range of ambitious shows, presentations and events from designers Paul Costelloe, Rashhiiid and a host of graduate creators.
It employed more than 500 people across these events, and lit up the city and scenic locations across the country with the showcases. It will return later this year with an expanded schedule.
Designers were awarded in categories including The Ireland Fashion Week Scholars, Emerging Designer of The Year, Model of the Year, Outstanding Contribution, and more. There was a star-studded guest list too, as presenter Laura Whitmore, Derry Girls star Jamie Lee O'Donnell, model Rosanna Davison and more were on hand to present some of the awards.
Also presented on the night was the Student Bursary for Young Designers, created in partnership with Oatly, which was presented to three of Ireland Fashion Week's graduate designers. The bursary is worth €3,000 and was created to help with the high costs of working as an independent designer.
The bursary was built up through a community-led campaign in the lead up to the first Ireland Fashion Week last October, and after it. Across Grindstone and Mr French cafes in Dublin, every 50c add-on for Oatly oat milk coffees went directly to the bursary fund.
Speaking about the Oatly student bursary initiative, Ireland Fashion Week founder Ashley McDonnell said:
"Ireland Fashion Week's mission will always be to nurture Irish design talent. Whether it’s through bootcamps, fashion week shows, industry events, connecting creatives or through direct investments in education, we are incredibly proud of the three young designers who will be the first of many to receive the Ireland Fashion Week student bursary.
"We hope this financial support will be able to help them in taking the next steps in their careers."
