Irish stars Jessie Buckley, Domhnall Gleeson and more are among the glamorous guests set to attend the 2026 Oscars, which is taking place tonight at Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, California.
Honouring the most spectacular performances on the silver screen since 1929, the Oscars are one of the most star-studded and prestigious events on the film industry's calendar.
Domhnall Gleeson walked the red carpet with Jenny Kelly, John Kelly, Tara Lawall, David Sedaris, Andrew Freedman and Tiffany Hodder Freeman, the team behind the Oscar-nominated short film Retirement Plan, which Gleeson narrated.
Fresh off a scene-stealing cameo in Taylor Swift's music video for her song 'Opalite', Gleeson brought old school glamour to the red carpet, standing out in a deep brown velvet blazer, paired with a brown shirt, bow tie and dark trousers.

Hamnet author Maggie O'Farrell also dazzled on the red carpet in a vibrant Barbie pink satin gown, which featured a ruched silhouette and a dramatic cape effect. The author, who co-wrote the screenplay for the film adaptation with director Chloe Zhao, added a black belt, black lace gloves, a statement black necklace and a black headband with net detailing.

Kerry woman Jessie Buckley, a Best Actress contender for her starring role in Chloe Zhao's adaptation of Maggie O'Farrell's book Hamnet, appeared in a show-stopping pink and red gown, custom designed by Chanel.
Elsewhere on the red carpet, Kerry Condon stunned in a beautiful black gown, featuring a plunging and sparkling neckline and - crucially - pockets.
Hamnet star Paul Mescal stepped out alongside partner Gracie Abrams, wearing an elegant black suit by Celine, featuring a modern take on a suit jacket with a minimal collar. He paired this with a loose black neck tie, a white shirt and black trousers.
