As a former catwalk model, Caitríona Balfe never fails to dazzle on the red carpet and her latest appearance was no different.
The Monaghan native stepped out for the premiere of the final season of Outlander, the wildly popular series that saw her play the role of Claire Beauchamp Randall Fraser.

Now in its eighth series, the time-bending show was as beloved for its period costumes as it was for its romantic plot lines, but for last night's premiere at Alice Tully Hall in New York City, Balfe chose an outfit that seemed to pay homage to the bold and fiery nature of her character.
Balfe wore an vibrant red slip dress for the big night, made from a shimmering satin material and accented with red lace on the hem, neckline and across the skirt.
She paired her look with minimal accessories, opting for a diamond necklace and matching earrings, and wore a muted red lipstick to tie the look together.
Balfe also managed to coordinate with her co-star Sam Heughan, who plays Jamie Fraser in the series, and who stepped out in a kilt with striking red and green tartan, paired with chunky boots.
