The stars were out in force for the Baftas, but none more so than the Irish ones.
The 2026 Baftas took place this afternoon at Royal Festival Hall, in London's Southbank Centre, and saw stars such as Jessie Buckley, Paul Mescal and Cillian Murphy attend the dazzling awards ceremony.
Always a star-studded event, the Baftas promise a glamorous red carpet, as some of the biggest names in the film industry and more strut their stuff in the lead-up to the Oscars.
With a host of Irish talent nominated, there were many familiar faces on the red carpet.
Shining particularly bright was Buckley, whose is nominated for Best Actress for her performance in Hamnet. If she wins, she will make history as the first Irish performer to receive the award for best actress at the BAFTAs.

Having stuck to mainly monochromatic outfits during this awards season, Buckley stepped out in a vivid royal blue velvet gown by Chanel for the ceremony tonight. The regal custom-designed gown featured a high neckline, a scooped back and diamond-encrusted floral embellishments on the shoulders.
Also going for a bold statement was Maura Higgins, who has been garnering even more recognition for her jaw-dropping red carpet style.

The Traitors US star made an entrance in a bright red and black gown by Andrea Brocca, which featured a form-fitting skirt paired with a corset bodice and a fanned out neckline embellished with black beads. She paired her look for sheer black opera gloves for even more drama.

Hamnet author Maggie O'Farrell also opted for red, wearing a cape-style gown, paired with a long gold chain, a red headpiece in the shape of a quill by Irish designer Margaret O'Connor and gold ankle boots.
Vogue Williams, meanwhile, opted for Old Hollywood glamour, stepping out with her husband Spencer Matthews for the event.
The presenter and author was styled by Corina Gaffey in a head-to-toe-Irish look, wearing a black gown by Irish-owned SML London featuring a full skirt, a sweetheart neckline and a dropped waist. Vogue paired this with black leather opera gloves by Paula Rowan and statement gold earrings from One Dame Lane.

Speaking about the collaboration with Vogue, which he called "a mix of old Hollywood and 90s minimalism", SML founder Stephen McLaughlin said:
"We've collaborated with Vogue several times, and for the BAFTAs we wanted to elevate the interpretation and try a new silhouette. This time, the focus was entirely on the shape - experimenting with sculptural forms, silhouettes, and proportions. We went for a look that was timeless but sharp, with a long, sculpted waist, controlled volume, and a clean black palette."
The black suit was as popular as ever when it came to the men, but with two distinct approaches from Cillian Murphy and Paul Mescal.

Steve star Murphy looked dapper in a double breasted version, worn with a white shirt and matching white tie.

Mescal, meanwhile, opted for a more relaxed take, wearing a classic black tuxedo paired with an unbuttoned white shirt and rolled up sleeves.
Aidan Gillen also looked sharp in a classic black suit as he walked the red carpet with Kathryn Ferguson, the director behind Nostalgie, a story about a faded '80s pop star, played by Gillen, from England who is invited to perform at an event in Northern Ireland.
Ferguson herself wore a layered monochromatic black look, pairing a lace dress with ankle-length trousers and ruffled shoes.
