The 2026 GRAMMYs return to Los Angeles on Sunday, 1 February, with Chappell Roan, Doechii, Cardi B, Sabrina Carpenter, Justin Bieber, and more nominated across the categories.

Niall O'Halloran and the Irish National Opera Orchestra will be among the hopefuls at this year's ceremony.

Composer Emma O'Halloran’s double opera Trade/Mary Motorhead is nominated for Best Opera Recording.

Based on the original plays by Mark O’Halloran, the Irish National Opera recorded Trade/Mary Motorhead, with a libretto by Mark O’Halloran.

It features singers Naomi Louisa O’Connell, John Molloy and Oisín Ó Dálaigh with the Irish National Opera Orchestra conducted by Elaine Kelly.

Additionally, Mastering Engineer Ruairi O'Flaherty, of Nomograph Mastering and Sterling Sound, is nominated in the Album of the Year category for his mastering work on Sabrina Carpenter’s Man’s Best Friend and Kendrick Lamar’s GNX, as well as in the Record of the Year category for Carpenter’s ‘Manchild’ and Lamar’s ‘luther’.

Finally, Dublin-born Donnacha Dennehy's work, Land of Winter has been nominated in the Best Contemporary Classical Composition and Best Chamber Music/Small Ensemble Performance categories.

Now in its 68th year, this year's ceremony will take place at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, once again hosted by comedian Trevor Noah.

This year's nominations span a wide range of artists, genres, and projects — from established acts to first-time nominees — across pop, country, rap, R&B, Latin, global, jazz, and beyond.

Excitingly, two new categories have been introduced: Best Traditional Country Album and Best Album Cover.

Winners will be determined by the Recording Academy's Voting Members — a peer group composed of music creators, including artists, songwriters, producers, engineers, and more.
