Irish stars Jessie Buckley, Colin Farrell, and Kerrie Condon walked the red carpet of the 16th Governors Awards at The Ray Dolby Ballroom at Oviation Hollywood on 16 November.
The star-studded affair welcomed well-known faces from across the entertainment industry, including Jennifer Lopez, Ariana Grande, Cynthia Erivo, Emma Stone, Teyana Taylor, Jennifer Lawrence, and many more.
Used to honour those in the industry, without worrying about the time constraints of the Oscars, recipients are announced each summer and honoured at a gala the following November.
The Board of Governors voted to present testimonial awards each year: the Irving G. Thalberg Memorial Award (presented to a creative producer), the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award (to celebrate humanitarian efforts), and the Honorary Award (given for extraordinary lifetime achievement, exceptional contribution or outstanding service).
This year's event saw the Honorary Awards go to Tom Cruise, Debbie Allen, and production designer Wynn Thomas, while Dolly Parton received the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award.
