Steve tells the story of a school of last-chance teenage boys at a school in the 90s, where one teacher (played by Murphy) struggles to support them as well as himself.

The film is based on Max Porter's best-selling 2023 novella Shy, and Murphy acted as producer as well as leading man.

For the London premiere, Murphy was once again styled by Rose Forde and wore a sophisticated midnight blue suit by The Row, the luxury brand founded by the Olsen twins, Mary Kate and Ashley, and known for its take on refined minimalism.

The suit, which was from the brands Spring/Summer 2026 collection, was paired with a pale blue shirt and he finished the look with chunky boots by John Lobb, a luxury shoe brand.
