Derry-born designer Jonathan Anderson was among those walking the Venice Film Festival red carpet, at the premiere of Queer, a film by Luca Guadagnino and starring Daniel Craig.
The hotly anticipated film follows William Lee (played by Craig), an American ex-pat whose solitary life is upended when he meets a young student Eugene Allerton (Drew Starkey).
Anderson, who is the creative director for Spanish label Loewe, as well as his own eponymous label JW Anderson, acted as costume designer for the film. He has previously designed the costumes for Guadagnino's last film, Challengers, starring Zendaya, Mike Faist and Josh O'Connor.

He not only showed up for the cast on the Venice Film Festival red carpet, he also dressed many of them in custom Loewe designs for the night.
Craig led the charge at the premiere, stepping out in a dazzling cream suit by Loewe, featuring a single-breasted suit jacket, slim trousers and a crisp white shirt. He accessorised with a pair of dark sunglasses and dark brown dress shoes.
Supporting Craig on the night was his wife, actress Rachel Weisz, who wore a vampy midnight blue glittering column gown by Versace, which featured a sweetheart neckline and a flowing train at the back. She contrasted her deep blue gown with a bright red lip for even more drama.

Actress Taylor Russel also wore Loewe on the night, dazzling in a slinky black gown with lace inserts, hood detailing and a slit all the way to her hip.
Leslie Manville wore a custom Loewe look, a regal silk gown with a high neckline, cape detailing and wooden accents.

Designer Anderson himself walked the red carpet, wearing an understated but elegant dark suit, paired with a classic pale blue shirt and black dress shoes.
