Cillian Murphy has added a new string to his bow as his first campaign with luxury Italian brand Versace is unveiled.

The Cork man was announced as the face of the new Versace Icons campaign shortly after picking up his Oscar for Oppenheimer last month. He stars alongside fellow Oscar winner Anne Hathaway in the glamorous campaign.

Posting about the campaign on Instagram, Versace Chief Creative Director Donatella Versace wrote: "When I saw Cillian on the set of the shoot, I saw the Versace man in him right away. Strong, direct and iconic! Cillian is one of today's best actors and I admire and respect him so much. I hope you all love the campaign as much as we loved shooting it."

Photographed by renowned duo Mert and Marcus, the campaign features Murphy styled in numerous looks against a stark white background.

In one striking image, Murphy wears a single-breasted tailored wool jacket with gold Medusa Biggie detail, tailored pants, a classic white vest and a silk Barocco foulard.

In an accompanying video clip, the actor is heard discussing his acting technique while reviewing shots, saying, "I avoid the monitor when I'm making films. It's because it's a different character, you know? You never want to affect what your journey is".

The clip then shifts, showing the Peaky Blinders star in full modelling swing to the tune of Boys in the Better Land by Irish band Fontaines D.C., with Murphy heard saying: "Clean and classic. It's Versace".
