The Royal Television Society Programme Awards 2024 took place last night at The Grosvenor House Hotel in London, and saw a host of famous faces walk the blue carpet, dressed to the nines.

Among them was our own Siobhán McSweeney, who attended the glitzy ceremony as part of the cast of Irish show Extraordinary.

McSweeney stunned in a black short-sleeved full length gown, which featured ruffles on the hem and ties on the bust. She wore it loosely tied over a black corset, black fishnet tights and chunky black boots.

Her vampy look was ramped up with a red lip and goth-inspired black eyeshadow worn in a dramatic swipe across her eyes.

McSweeney isn't new when it comes to making bold statements with her looks. Speaking to RTÉ Lifestyle at the 2023 BAFTA Television Awards, she explained how she "refused to wear anything by a designer who would not design for my body if it wasn't BAFTA-nominated", eventually settling on a dazzling red vinyl gown by American label Fashion Brand Company, which offers sizes XS-5XL and occasionally go up to XXS-7XL.

"I'd prefer to support people who dress for people like me - the very average woman - all the time", McSweeney said at the time.

Also at the event was McSweeney's co-star Máiréad Tyers who was nominated for Comedy Performance - Female, though the award went to Black Ops' Gbemisola Ikumelo. Tyers wore an elegant black strapless column gown on the night.

Loose Women presenter Stacey Solomon opted for something more dramatic, wearing a pale gold princess-style gown, which featured a structured bodice and ruffled skirt.
