The Academy Awards lit up Hollywood once again tonight, as the prestigious ceremony took place at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles.
Celebrating excellence in film since 1929, the awards - now in its 96th year - gathers together some of the brightest stars in the industry, all of whom dress to the nines for the occasion.
Menswear has almost outshone the ballgowns in recent years, and this year's Oscars was no different. While the Academy Awards are a more conservative affair compared to other ceremonies, such as the Golden Globes and the Independent Spirit Awards, Hollywood's leading men still managed to make plenty of style statements.

Irishman and Oppenheimer star Cillian Murphy led the A-listers, wearing a classic black tuxedo, featuring a jacket with satin trim lapels and slim trousers. He paired it with a simple white skirt and a black bow tie.

Barbie star Ryan Gosling served up a subtle but no less fabulous serving of 'Kenergy', walking the red carpet in a black tuxedo trimmed with silver custom made by Gucci.
Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson also opted for some shimmer, wearing a dazzling dark grey satin suit by Dolce & Gabbana, with a matching silver shirt trimmed with burgundy.

After a dazzling awards season that saw him wear retro-inspired suits and bold looks, Rustin star Colman Domingo opted for an understated look, wearing a classic black suit by Louis Vuitton, which featured a double-breasted jacket with embellished buttons and flared trousers.
