Taking place in its home of Bad Robot, the Santa Monica production company of J.J. Abrams and Katie McGrath, the 2024 Oscar Wilde Awards welcomed Oscar-nominee Cillian Murphy to its famously green carpet.

The Oppenheimer star walked alongside singer Samantha Mumba, comedian Mae Martin, actress Molly Shannon, and honoree Pierce Brosnan.

007 and Mamma Mia star Pierce was honored with an award at the US-Ireland Alliance's annual event, thanks to his rich and extensive career both in front of the camera and behind-the-scenes as a producer.

Speaking on the accolade, US-Ireland Alliance founder Trina Vargo said: "The success of Irish actors in the film industry in recent years has highlighted the remarkable talent in Ireland. We're thrilled to be honoring one of the most talented Irish legends, who paved the way."

Another honoree featured on the night was Dublin-born Richard Baneham, a two-time Academy Award winning VFX Supervisor for his work on the original AVATAR and last year for AVATAR: The Way of Water.

With the Academy Awards just around the corner, this event has long appealed to industry insiders as a non-traditional break from awards season thanks to its casual dress code (jeans for most) and lots of delicious Irish fare (Taytos are in big supply).
