Though she spends much of the show in leggings and casual gear while cheering on the leaders or running the final 5km race with them, Kathryn Thomas always manages to sneak a bit of glamour into her Operation Transformation looks.

Nowhere is this more evident than in the grand final, where Thomas hosts a dazzling catwalk during which the five leaders show off their hard earned results. Being a catwalk, the host never misses a chance to match their showstopping looks with one of her own.

Last night's finale was an emotional and celebratory affair, with the leaders - Michelle Rogan, Darragh Fitzgerald, Anne Cushen, Noel O'Connell, and Edel O'Malley - reflecting on the eight weeks they've spent in front of the cameras, as well as showing off their glamorous makeovers.

Thomas dressed for the occasion, making her entrance in a jaw-dropping red velvet gown that oozed vampy sophistication.

Styled by stylist Megan Fox, Thomas wore a romantic dress by The Vampire's Wife sourced from Havana Boutique in Dublin. Called The Confessional, it featured a high neckline, form-fitting silhouette, puff sleeves and crystal-embellished buttons on the torso, and either side of the skirt.

She paired this with chic and modern clear-heeled block sandals, accented with a shimmering strap at the front. She added a pair of simple drop earrings for some more sparkle.

Her hair was slicked back into an elegant up-do, while her makeup was rich and bronzy, with a sharp cateye liner and a nude lipstick.
