Maura Higgins has landed her first American magazine cover, gracing the front page of Maxim magazine in a red latex one-piece and long blonde locks.

Photographed by French fashion photographer Gilles Bensimon, Higgins has become the official cover star of the March/April issue of the international men's magazines.

Styled by Lauren Anne Groves, with the assistance of Eliza Goldsmith, the Longford woman accessorised the latex piece with a colourful choker and a series of mismatched statement earrings.

Hair stylist Carl Bembridge styled the social host of Peacock's Love Island USA and Love Island Games into a blonde bombshell, swapping her signature dark locks for a lighter look.

Sharing a photo of the cover to Instagram, Higgins wrote the caption: "MAMMY I JUST COVERED MY FIRST AMERICAN MAGAZINE".

As well as posing for a series of exclusive shots for the issue, the former Love Island star spoke with Fashion Editor Freya Drohan about her career in the spotlight and how her Irish lilt has had a role to play in her success abroad.

"Weirdly, I was waiting for a lot of the reaction to be like, 'We can’t understand her!’ But there was none of that. The Americans love the Irish! They love the accent! So it’s been a good thing."
