Saoirse Ronan made a glamorous appearance at the Sundance Film Festival last night, as she promotes her latest film, The Outrun.
The festival has kicked off in snowy Park Springs, Utah, bringing with it a host of celebrities and some very snug red carpet outfits.
Held in the middle of winter in the scenic state, the Sundance Film Festival highlights groundbreaking work in independent film and offers streaming services, production companies and industry professionals a chance to buy the rights to certain projects.
The Sundance Institute – which organises the festival – was founded by Robert Redford in 1981 to foster independence, risk-taking, and new voices in American film.
West Belfast rap group Kneecap already made a bold and memorable entrance on opening night as they attended the premiere of their semi-fictionalised film, Kneecap. The film was the first Irish-language film to debut at the festival and was almost immediately snapped up for worldwide distribution by Sony Pictures Classics.
Although the rap trio walked the black carpet in eye-catching tracksuits, Ronan opted for Hollywood elegance, stepping out in a shimmering pale blue jumpsuit.
Styled as always by Elizabeth Saltzman, Ronan wore a 1930s-inspired midi dress by Louis Vuitton, featuring an off-the-shoulder neckline and flowing trousers, all in a subtly striped pattern. She paired her feminine look with unusual black and silver heels also by the fashion house, which featured cut-outs on one side.
Her blonde hair was cropped short and worn loosely waved, while her makeup included a smokey eyeliner, nude lipstick and rosy blush.
The following day, she attended a number of events dressed in something decidedly more casual, but no less sophisticated. Ronan opted for yet another jumpsuit, this time in a form-fitting ribbed knit, with a tank-style top and slouchy trousers. It was accented with a gold chain on the bust for a bit of sparkle.
She added a weather-appropriate pair of boots to finish off the look.
