South African actress Charlize Theron was spotted wearing an Irish design while promoting the Charlize Theron Africa Outreach Project in New Delhi, India.
The Academy-Award winner and UN Messenger of Peace created the organisation in 2007 in the hopes of supporting "locally-led change" by partnering with community-based organizations that support young people when it comes to their sexual and reproductive health and rights.
During her trip, the Hollywood star stunned in a beautiful red dress from Irish label Standing Ground.
Taken from their Spring 2023 collection, the full length gown features thick red ropes of material draped over delicate cut outs around the hip.
Chanel make-up artist Kate Lee kept the star's face fresh with a dewy complexion and neutral lip, while hair stylist Adir Abergel delivered a sleek and simple up-do.
The Monster star has been a Dior ambassador for nearly two decades, and is rarely seen outside of the label, making this delve into Irish design all the more exciting.
Established in London in 2022 by Clare designer Michael Stewart, Standing Ground made its London Fashion Week debut as part of the Spring/Summer 2023 shows and has been thriving ever since.
The 33-year-old recently told The Irish Times that his work is heavily inspired by his Irish upbringing:
"The name Standing Ground comes from the standing stones. They are literally standing ground for millennia, and it's also the double meaning of standing your ground on something and holding firm onto something. That’s important to me to stick to my guns in what I like and what I think is important."
