Suzanne Jackson has announced that she is returning to SoSu Cosmetics.

Almost a year to the day she announced her departure as CEO of the SoSu brand, Jackson has revealed she'll return this month in a new role.

Sharing the news on her Instagram page, Jackson said that she will start a new role as Creative Director on October 10 after taking a year to "reconnect" with herself.

Jackson had announced her departure from both SoSu Cosmetics and Dripping Gold in 2022, welcoming Caroline Dalton, the former head of buying for Primark, as CEO. In the announcement she said she felt she had "done all I can" with the brand, and noted that she would still be involved in other ways.

In the lengthy message shared on her broadcast channel on Instagram, Jackson referenced how she had struggled with burnout in recent years, saying: "Throughout 2021 and 2022, I went through a phase in my businesses where I felt it was time to step back and explore new challenges and opportunities".

"Taking a period of rest allowed me to recharge, regroup, and redirect my attention", she continued. "I cannot stress enough the immense value in giving ourselves the space to do so."

In the year since leaving the company, Jackson had taken on the challenge of featuring in Dancing with the Stars, and recently spent her time moving between Ireland and Portugal with her husband, Dylan O'Connor.

She added that she believed "the time is right for me to return to my business".

She acknowledged that her RTÉ series The Style Counsellors was not recommissioned for a new season, which she took as "a sign from the universe guiding me to pour all my love, passion, and obsession back into my own brand".

Jackson founded the brand in 2015, leading it to become one of the most recognisable Irish cosmetics brand and one of the first to be founded by an Irish influencer. In eight years, the company has released over 100 products and is sold in 1,000 pharmacies across the country, as well as Penneys outlets.

It's been worn by many celebrities, including supermodel Winnie Harlow and Jesy Nelson.

Dripping Gold, a partner brand, was established in 2018, offering a line of tanning products, one of which - Wonder Water - has sold over one million units to date.
