It's one of the most glamorous events in the entertainment industry calendar, and each year the Venice Film Festival offers up plenty of fashion from both the movie premieres and accompanying parties.
Now in its 80th year, this year's Vernice Film Festival has been a markedly different one as it takes place during the ongoing SAG-AFTRA (Screen Actors Guild and the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists) labour strike.
Under the conditions of the strike, union members are forbidden from filming or promoting their past, present and future works. Many of those who have attended the festival have done so only after getting an interim waiver approved, or are there to promote independently made films.
Despite the unusual conditions, though, red carpet glamour has persevered. From Rita Ora's sheer gown at the amfAR Gala to Irish beauty writer Triona McCarthy's neon pink eye-liner at the premiere of Ferrari, these are some of the most noteworthy looks.
