Summer is (hopefully) in full swing, which means the coats are being put away, the jumpers moved to the hot press and the dresses ands blouses pulled out for another season.
For many of us summer is still the most difficult season to dress for, with changeable weather never too far away. With this in mind, celebrity stylist Fiona Fagan joined Jennifer Zamparelli on 2fm to chat about the trends to look out for this summer.
And that doesn't mean buying a load of new clothes either: sometimes the best, and more inventive, outfits come from shopping in your own wardrobe.
Fagan says dressing for summer is particularly tricky in Dublin "because of the weather". "You never quite know if it's going to rain, so I think layering is the key. Light summer layering."
Lightweight and hardy pieces like cargo pants are hugely popular this summer, Fagan says, as "the Noughties are coming back".
Baggy trousers, utility-inspired clothes and especially baggy jeans are widely available in shops but also could be snapped up in vintage and charity shops, or plucked from an older family member's wardrobe, if you're trying to shop sustainably.
Seventies silhouettes are also hugely popular, no doubt thanks in part to the success of the television show Daisy Jones and the Six. Flares are a funky piece to add into your wardrobe, with Fagan suggesting & Other Stories, H&M or Zara if you're going high street, and second hand if you're going sustainable.
If you ask Fagan, the death of the skinny jean has without a doubt taken place, though that is open to debate. She suggests flares as a more versatile option.
"They do [suit everybody] because they're wide-legged. You just need to find the right height and how far they come up on your body. But I do think they're more flattering than skinny jeans because they're not so tight and uncomfortable.
"They make your legs look longer, a nice wedge, a nice heel. It just elongates your body and that's way more flattering than a skinny jean."
White trainers are always in fashion, but the key is finding the right shape and style for you and for the season. A new style seems to reign supreme every summer, from Nike Air Force Ones and Veja runners, to the Adidas Sambas that are the must-have shoe of the season according to social media users.
White Converse are Fagan's pick for trainers, as she says they can be worn with everything from dresses to co-ord suits and shorts.
When it comes to footwear, how much is too much? For Fagan, flipflops are a tricky area, especially in the office. "Surely, if someone's in the office with flipflops you are allowed take the flipflop off them and beat them with it?" Jen asks.

For guys, Fagan suggests cool and classic staples: linen trousers and canvas shoes.
There is one Noughties trend that Fagan refuses to accept in the modern day: jeans worn under dresses. Katie Holmes caused debate online when she stepped out in such a look in New York City. "It doesn't work", Fagan says.
Dopamine dressing is still popular, Fagan says, but adapted into "dopamine blocking" with fuchsia pinks, oranges, reds and more worn together. "It's like sunshine, it makes you feel good", she says. "You take notice if you see someone like that."
As for wedding fashion, finding the perfect wedding guest outfit can be a struggle. Gone are the hats and in their stead is, put simply by Fagan, "nice hair. A nice blowdry". Reiss is a firm pick of hers, as well as Kildare Village favourites like Sandro and Maje.
"There's also great places where you can hire. Happy Days, Greens are Good For You." Brown Thomas also have renting services in their Dundrum location.
