Celebrating a wealth of Irish talent, the Irish Film and Television Awards enjoyed a star-studded red carpet earlier this evening, with appearances from Stephen Rea, Caitríona Balfe, Ciaran Hinds, Andrew Scott, and American actor John C Reilly.
Hosted by comedian Deirdre O'Kane, the awards ceremony is set to honour the work of those in the film industry, with special attention being shone on costume designer Joan Bergin who will be presented with a Lifetime Achievement Award.

Best known for her acclaimed work on the television show The Tudors, as well as iconic movies such as My Left Foot, In the Name of the Father, and Dancing at Lughnasa, the award-winning designer has a long history with the IFTAs having earned nominations for her work on Vikings and Camelot.
