While all eyes were on the Met Gala earlier in the week, tonight Thursday 4 May is the turn of 80 up-and-coming eco-conscious creators and fashion designers at the Junk Kouture Dublin City Final Powered by RTÉ in 3Arena, Dublin.

With rehearsals in full swing, here's a sneak peek at some of the incredible designs that will be dressed to impress this evening.

Ten haute-couture designs made from 100% recycled materials will be chosen by Louis Wash, Keilidh Cashell, Tara Kumar and Stephen McLaughlin to compete at the 2023 Junk Kouture World Final…. Destination to be revealed tonight! The winning designs will battle it out against 50 other teams from Abu Dhabi, London, Paris, Milan and New York to become the World Designer of the Year.

Doors open at 5.30pm tonight with the show kicking off at 7.30pm. There will be an exclusive musical performance from Ryan Mack, as the RTÉ 2FM Rising Artist takes to the stage of 3Arena. The final will be filmed for TV and broadcast on RTÉ 2 and the RTÉ Player at 7pm on 18 May so if you can't make it on the night, you can catch all the action from the comfort of your own home.
