The Met Gala stairs was awash with Irish talent last night, from our best designers to some of our brightest Hollywood stars.
The annual event is one of the highlights of the celebrity calendar, and sees actors, singers, musicians and models work the steps of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, providing show-stopping looks as well as raising funds for The Costume Institute.

The theme of the night was Karl Largerfeld: A Line of Beauty, and the celebs certainly took that inspiration to heart.
Hot off a dazzling year after his standout turn in The Banshees of Inisherin, Barry Keoghan proved that his striking red carpet style wasn't just for the Oscars. The Dublin native walked the Met Gala stairs in an eye-catching black and blue tartan-print suit by Burberry, complete with a double-breasted suit jacket.
He paired the look with a matching cobalt blue knit turleneck top, and added some dazzle with a sparkling floral brooch and blue rose. He finished his look with classic patent leather dress shoes.

Elsewhere on the night, Glamour US editor-in-chief Samantha Barry wowed in a sleek and slinky gown by Elizabeth Kennedy.
Cork native Barry pulled from the designer's archive, choosing a satin burgundy fishtail gown that featured a contrasting black flounced hem.
Posting about her look on Instagram she wrote: "I couldn't be more in love with my #metgala red carpet look and the team that put it all together. So honored and humbled to be included in such an iconic night."
Styled by Andrew Gelwicks, she finished her look with some statement jewels, including a ruby red ring, a matching necklace and a double string of pearls that seemed to nod towards the classic Chanel pearl necklace.
Her classic black stilettos were from Christian Louboutin, while her black clutch handbag was by Emm Kuo.

Oozing charisma, former James Bond star Pierce Brosnan made a dashing appearance on the Met Gala stairs, wearing a black suit emblazoned with a subtle floral motif. He paired it with a white shirt and 70s-inspired tinted glasses.
Walking the Met steps with him was his wife Keely Shaye Smith, who looked elegant in a black sequinned gown, with a sheer, embellished cape worn over her shoulders.
