Leave it to Doja Cat to turn heads at the Met Gala, but the chart-topping singer excelled by even her own standards.
The annual event is one of the highlights of the celebrity calendar, and sees actors, singers, musicians and models work the steps of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, providing show-stopping looks as well as raising funds for The Costume Institute.
The theme of the night was Karl Largerfeld: A Line of Beauty, and the Woman songstress made an impression for her first Met Gala, with an outfit that seemed to nod to Lagerfeld's beloved pet cat, Choupette.

Doja walked the Met Gala steps in a sleek and sultry silver custom Oscar de la Renta gown, featuring a low back, feather-hemmed train and – most strikingly – a neckline that continued into a full skull cap, complete with cat ears.
It was taken to new levels of commitment with a prosthetic cat nose, graphic cat eye liner and a diamond "third eye" pendant set on her forehead.
Doja's elaborate look seemed to be a tribute to Choupette, Lagerfeld's cherished pet cat who he adopted in 2011 and who still reigns supreme as the most respected and connected cat in fashion history.
Earlier today Choupette confirmed – through her own Instagram account – that she would not be attending the event, writing: "Many people invited me to walk the red carpet of the #METGALA2023 in tribute to Daddy, but we preferred to stay peacefully & cozy at home.
"We pay tribute to my Daddy every day since his parting and we are very moved to see one more day dedicated to him."
However, she was well-represented on the night, with Doja honouring both her and the singer's own stage name on the red carpet.
