Honouring the most spectacular performances on the silver screen since 1929, the Academy Awards are one of the most star-studded and prestigious events on the film industry's calendar.
Tonight, the world's most glamorous stars will swarm the Dolby Theatre in the Hollywood & Highland Center on Sunday to walk the champagne carpet and watch the hotly anticipated 95th Academy Awards.
Irish nominees
This year's ceremony will be of particular interest to Irish film fans as an incredible 14 Oscar nominations have been earned by Irish talent.
Martin McDonagh's tragi-comedy The Banshees of Inisherin broke the record for most nominations with nine nods. Jim Sheridan's In the Name of the Father (1993) previously held the record with seven before tying with Kenneth Branagh's Belfast in 2022.
As well as vying for Best Picture, Best Director, Best Original Screenplay, Best Score, and Best Film Editing, the film's core cast - Colin Farrell, Brendan Gleeson, Barry Keoghan, and Kerry Condon - have each earned a nod.
