Now in its 76th year, the celebrated award ceremony heralded a new era of the event by moving from Royal Albert Hall, where it had been held for the previous six years, to the Southbank Centre's Royal Festival Hall.
Always a star-studded event, the BAFTAs also promised a glamorous red carpet, as some of the biggest names in the film industry and more strut their stuff in the lead-up to the Oscars.

Despite the rolling out of the red carpet, this year's ceremony was positively green, with a host of Irish names getting top billing and dominating many categories.
The Banshees of Inisherin, Aftersun, The Wonder, An Irish Goodbye, and An Cailín Ciúin are all nominated for awards, with stars like Colin Farrell, Brendan Gleeson, Kerry Condon, Paul Mescal in attendance.
Bridgerton star Nicola Coughlan wore a beautiful floral gown from Maison Valentino for the occasion, while Oscar-nominee Kerry Condon sparkled in Armani Privé.

Elsewhere on the red carpet, Paul Mescal, Daryl McCormack, Brendan Gleeson, and Colin Farrell were spotted looking particularly dapper in smart suits.
Each of the actors wore a blue ribbon to show support for refugees and those who have been displaced due to war and events such as the Turkey-Syria earthquake.

My Therapist Ghosted Me podcaster Vogue Williams made a colourful appearance on the night, wearing a yellow dress from De La Vali, which she paired with a sequinned pair of heels from Sophia Webster and a cluster of earrings from Dublin's One Dame Lane.
