Christine Carthy - a true blue from Lucan, Dublin now living in Kildare - joined Dáithí Ó Sé and Maura Derrane on the Today show for a beautiful spring glow-up.

Christine told Dáithí that she had grown up in a three-bedroom home as one of 10 siblings (five boys and five girls) as well as her parents and an "assortment of dogs". The youngest sister, Linda, was the one who nominated Christine for the show, as she has a big event coming up on the calendar.

Now living in Clane, Christine works in a café and has raised two beautiful kids, Darren and Chloe, who are all grown up.

While Chloe plans to travel the world, Darren is settling down in Ireland. As well as starting his own career coaching business, he is preparing for his wedding this April, which means that Christine has a big day ahead of her as the mother of the groom.

She told Dáithí that she isn't the "traditional" style but is more or less "open to anything".

Hair stylist Pamela Morrissey, make-up artist Ally Garvey, and fashion stylist Fiona Hayes sat down with Christine to get to know her style and comfort levels, and gave her a gorgeous glow up.

Christine told Maura that she was "absolutely delighted" and felt "gorgeous". While Maura was in awe of Christine's blonde locks, sister Linda was on hand to tell Christine that she looked "sensational".

At the end of the show, Dáithí revealed that the future mother of the groom would enjoy an overnight stay at the Pembroke boutique hotel as well as a three course meal in the Aroi.
